DEALING WITH CHRISTIANS' SINS

                                                (I John 1:9)

NOTE: When Jesus died on the cross for our sins, all our sins were future sins!  When a Christian sins, what is the Biblical response…condemnation or conviction?

1.   “If we judge our selves, we will not be judged.”(I Corinthians 11:31)

2.   “Fall on the rock or be crushed by the rock.”(Luke 20:18)

3.   “If we(John including himself with other Christians)”

4.   “Confess”: To agree with or say the same thing as God!

It is sin!

Jesus died for this sin!

Jesus forgave this sin!

Jesus washed this sin away!

Jesus cleansed us of the sin!

Jesus covered us in His blood over the sin!

Jesus separated this sin from us!

Jesus took this sin on Himself on the tree(Lamb of God)!

Jesus took this sin away(Scapegoat)!

Jesus removed this sin(As far as the East is from the West)!

Jesus remembers our sin no more(Hebrews 8:12; 10:17)

5.   “Our sins”(We as Christians including John)

Sins plural!

Be specific!

Call it what it is!

Name it!

6.   “He(Jesus)is faithful and just”

Jesus knows our weaknesses!

Jesus was tempted as we are!(Heb.4:15-16)

Jesus understands!

Jesus is praying for us right now in heaven!(Hebrews 9:24)

7.   “To forgive us our sins”(We as Christians including John)

Forgive once for all!

All our transgressions!

8.   “To cleanse us from all unrighteousness”

Wash!

All!

Unrighteousness!

Note:

1.  Matthew 6:13 The Model Prayer(Lord’s Prayer) “Forgive us our

debts/sins/trespasses as we forgive our debtors/those who sin against

us/those who trespass against us.”

2.  Matthew 19:30 “It is finished!” A finished work including our sins as

Christians!
