EKKLESIA IS A RELATIONSHIP

                              

Note: The eternal triune nature of God as revealed in the

Father, Son and Spirit illustrates perfect relationship.

 

1.     Genesis 1:26 “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…so God created man in His own image, in the image of God created he him.”

2.     John 1:1-2 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The same was in the beginning with God.”

3.     Colossians 2:9 “For in Christ dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.”

4.     John 4:24 (Woman at the well) “God is a spirit and they that worship Him must worship him in Spirit and in truth.”

5.     Matthew 16:15-19 (Caesarea Philippi) “My Father which is in heaven hath revealed this to you…I will build my church; and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.”

6.     Matthew 18:20 (Capernaum)“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

7.     Acts 2:41-47 (Jerusalem)“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers…had all things common…continuing daily with one accord in the temple and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart…Praising God and having favor with all the people.  And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”

8.     Acts 4:31-36 (Jerusalem, the place, in their own company) “They were all filled with the Holy Ghost…all spake the word of God with boldness…of one heart and of one soul…had all things common…great power…great grace…sold lands and houses and laid the price of the things that were sold at the feet of the apostles…and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.”

9.     Acts 20:7, 11 (Troas) “And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread…When he had broken bread and eaten and talked a long while…”

10.                        I Corinthians 5:4 “When ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ…”

11.                        I Corinthians 14:26 (Corinth) “When ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelations, hath an interpretation.  Let all things be done unto edifying…Let all things be done decently and in order.”

12.                          I Corinthians 16:2 “Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gathering when I come.”

13.                          Ephesians 5:19 (Ephesus) “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; giving thanks always for all things…submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.”

14.                          Colossians 3:16 (Colossi) “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.  Whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”

15.                          Hebrews 10:24-25 “Let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of our selves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more as ye see the day approaching.”
