HOW TO BECOME WHAT GOD

                  DESIGNED

     II Kings 22 & 23

                       As illustrated from the life of King Josiah…

1.     DESIRE to be what God wants:

1)     II Kings 22:2 “Josiah did that which was right in the sight of the Lord and walked in all the way of his father David and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left.”

2.     REPAIR what is there now:

1)    II Kings 22:5 “…Repair the breaches of the house of the

     Lord.”

3.     FIND THE BOOK in God’s house:

1)    II Kings 22:8 “I have found the Book of the Law in the house of the Lord.”

4.     PRAY for leaders and people to DO according to the Book:

1)    II Kings 22:13 “…Enquire of the Lord for me and for the

     people…concerning the words of this Book…Hearken unto

     the words of this Book, to do according to ALL that is

     written concerning us.”

5.     CONFIRM by the prophetic:

1)    II Kings 22:14 “So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and

     Achbor, and Saphan, and Asahiah, went unto Hulday the

     prophetess…now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college; and

     they communed with her…”

6.     LEADERSHIP REPENT:

1)    II Kings 22:19 “Thine heart was tender, and thou hast

     humbled thyself before the Lord…rent thy clothes…wept

     fore Me…”

7.     MAKE COVENANT including elders, priests, prophets:

1)    II Kings 23:1-3 “To walk after the Lord and keep His

     commandments, testimonies, statutes with all their heart

     Words of this covenant that are written in this Book…ALL

     the people stood to the covenant.”

8.     TEAR DOWN all traditions of the Kings:

          1) II Kings 23:4-20 “Break, burn and put down…”

9.     RESTORE true life and structure of worship:

1)    II Kings 23:20-21f “The king commanded the people…Keep

     the Passover unto the Lord your God, as it is written in the

     Book of this Covenant…Surely there was not holden such

     a Passover from the days of the Judges and Kings…”
