EATING AND DRINKING BEFORE THE LORD
Exodus 24:9-11 "Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab,
and Ahihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel: And they saw the
God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved

year. And thou shalt eat before the Lord thy God, in the place

corn, of thy wine, and of the oil, and the firstlings of thy
herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the Lord
thy God always. And if the way be too long for thee, so that
thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from
thee, which the Lord thy God shall choose to set his name there,
when the Lord thy God hath blessed thee: Then shalt thou turn it
into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go
unto the place which the Lord thy God shall choose: And thou
shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after,
for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or
whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before
the Lord thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine
household."

bread, and blessed it, and brake it and gave it to the

down, and the twelve apostles with him. And he said unto
them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with
you before I suffer: For I say unto you, I will not any
more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of
God. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said,
Take this, and divide it among yourselves: For I say
unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine,
until the kingdom of God shall come. And he took bread,
and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them,
saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in
remembrance of me. Likewise also the cup after supper,
