Hebrews 10:23-25

Hebrews 10:23 “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised ;)”

“Let us hold fast”--katecho

to hold down, hold fast, keep in memory, make toward, possess, retain, seize on, stay; kata a primary particle preposition, down in place or time, concerning, pertaining to, touching, after the manner of, denotes intensity; echo primary verb, to hold,  possession, keep

“the profession"--homologia

acknowledgment, confession, profession, that which is professed; homou from homos at the same place or time, together; logos something said, topic, discourse, reasoning, Divine expression, communication, intent, preaching, reason, say, speak, tidings, utterance, word

“of our faith”--elpis from elpo

to anticipate, expectation, confidence, faith, hope

“without wavering”--aklines

a negative particle, not leaning, firm, without wavering; klino primary verb, to slant or slope, incline, bow down, turn to flight, wear away; aklines  not leaning, firm, without wavering

“for he is faithful” (He),--pistos

trustworthy, trustful, believing, faithful, sure, true; peitho to convince, to assent to evidence or authority, to rely by inward certainty, agree, assure, believe, have confidence, obey, trust, yield, rely on, will not fail, can rely on, no question that

“that promised”--epaggello

Hebrews 10:24 “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:”

“Let us consider”--katanoeo

“one another”--allelon

“to provoke”--eis

Hebrews 10:25 “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
