JACOB’S TROUBLE
-
Daniel
12:1-13 “There shall be a time of trouble, such as
never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and
at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall
be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the
dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and
some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise
shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that
turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever. It
shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have
accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these
things shall be finished. From the time that the daily sacrifice
shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate
set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three
hundred and five and thirty days. But go thou thy way till the
end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of
the days.”

Zechariah
14:1f “Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy
spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. For I will gather
all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be
taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half
of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of
the people shall not be cut off from the city. Then shall the
Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he
fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that
day upon the Mount of Olives…And the Lord shall be king over all
the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name
one…Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.”
