SILENT, SILENCE


 

Greek Word Definitions:

sigao = to be silent, quiet, quietness

sige (noun) = silence, to be silent, quietness

siopao (adjective) = to be silent or still, to keep silence, hold one's peace, dumb

hesuchia (noun)= quietness, stillness

hesuchazo (verb) = to be still, to live quietly, cease, being silent

hesuchios (adjective) = tranquility arising from within, causing no disturbance to others, quiet, peaceable

hesuchia = quietness, quiet

eremos (adjective) = quiet, tranquil; indicating tranquility arising from without

eirene (noun) = peace

eireneuo (verb) = to bring peace, reconcile, to keep peace or to be at peace
