PRAYERS AND TEARS OF THE SAINTS…

There is a frequent expression by some believers who say, “My prayers seem to go no higher than the ceiling!” 

To encourage all believers who may struggle with questions about what they perceive as unanswered prayer, the scriptures below will be uplifting and faith building.

 

PRAYERS

Revelation 5:8 “And when he (Lamb) had taken the book, the four beasts and four, and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden (chruseos made of gold, golden) vials (phiale  a broad shallow cup, vial) full (gemo to swell out, be full) of odors (thumiama aroma, fragrant power burnt in religious service, incense, burning, odors), which are the prayers (proseuche prayer, earnestly, worship, oratory; proseuchomai to pray to God, supplicate, worship, pray earnestly for) of saints (hagios sacred, pure, morally blameless, ceremonially consecrated, holy, holy one, saint).”

Revelation 8:3-4 “And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden (chruseos made of gold, golden) censer (libanotos  a censer for burning frankincense)); and there was given unto him much incense (thumiama an aroma, fragrant power, burning incense), that he should offer it with the prayers (proseuche prayer, earnestly, worship, oratory) of all (pas all, every, the whole, whosoever) saints (hagios sacred, pure, morally blameless, ceremoniall consecrated, holy, saint) upon the golden (chruseos made of gold, golden) altar (thusiasterion a place of sacrifice, altar) which was before (enopion in the face of, before, in the presence of) the throne (thronos to sit, a stately seat, throne, a potentate).  And the smoke (kapnos smoke) of the incense (thumiama an aroma, fragrant powder burnt in religious service, burning, incense, odor), which came with the prayers (proseuche prayer, worship, oratory, pray earnestly) of the saints (hagios  sacred, pure, morally blameless, ceremonially consecrated, holy, holy one, saint), ascending up (anabaino  to go up, arise, ascend, rise) before (enopion  in the face of, before, in the presence of) God (theos deity, supreme divinity, Hebraism very, exceeding, God) out of (ek ex denoting origin, from, by means of) the angel’s (aggelos messenger, to bring tidings, angel) hand (cheir the hand, a means or instrument).”

 

TEARS

Psalm 56:8 “Thou tellest (saphar to score with a mark as a tally or record, inscribe, enumerate, recount, count, celebrate, declare, show forth, speak, talk) my wanderings (nod nod wandering, exile; nud root word to wander, flee, disappear, bemoan, vagabond): Put (sum siym to put, place) thou my tears (dimah weeping, tears; dama root meaning to weep, sore) into thy bottle (nod nod nodah a skin or leather bag for fluids, bottle): Are they not in thy book (sepher siphrah writing, document, book, evidence, register, scroll)?”
