APOSTLES’ DOCTRINE

GREEK: didaskalia meaning the substance of teaching; to give instruction; to train

                 didache meaning the act of teaching

 

1.   Acts 2:42 “They continued steadfastly(proskartereo meaning strong

 towards, endure in; persevere) in the apostles’ doctrine.”

2.   Acts 4:2 “The apostles taught the people.”

3.   Acts 5:20-21 “Go stand and speak in the temple all the words of this life.

       And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early

       in the morning and taught.”

4.   Acts 5:42 “Daily in the temple and in every house they ceased not to teach

       and preach Jesus Christ.”

5.   Acts 11:26 “When Barnabus had found Saul, he brought him unto

   Antioch.  And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled

   themselves with the church, and taught much people.

5.   Acts 15:35 “Paul and Barnabus continue in Antioch teaching and

   preaching the Word of the Lord.

6.   Acts 18:11 “Paul in Corinth continued a year and six months, teaching the

    Word of God among them.”

7.   Acts 20:20 “Paul taught publicly and from house to house.”

8.   Acts 28:30-31 “And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house,

    and received all that came in unto him.  Preaching the

    kingdom of god and teaching those things which concern the

    Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding

    him.”

9.   I Corinthians 4:17 “I(Paul)teach every where in every church.”

10. Colossians 2:6-7 “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so

walk ye in Him.  Rooted and built up in Him, and

 established in the faith, as ye have been taught,

 abounding there with thanksgiving.”

11. II Thessalonians 2:15 “Brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which

ye have been taught, whether by word, or our

epistle.”

12. II Timothy 2:2 “The things that thou hast heard of me among many

 witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall

 be able to teach others also.”

13. Hebrews 5:12-14 “Ye have need that one teach you again which be the

     first principles of the oracles of God; and are become

     such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.”

14. Hebrews 6:1-2 “Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ,

 let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the

 foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith

 toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on  of

hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.”
