Note: From Acts 1-8
references are made only of the term apostles.
In Acts 11 it is noted
that it was apostles and brethren and then for the first time a reference
is made of apostles and elders in Acts 15.
1.
Acts 9:27 “But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles…and
Saul was with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem.

Acts 11:1 “And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that
the Gentiles had also received the word of god.”

Acts 15:2 “They determined that Paul and Barnabas
and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles
and elders about this question.”

Acts 15:4 “And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the
church and of the apostles and elders.”

Acts 15:6 “And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of
this matter.”

Acts 15:22 “Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church
to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch.”

Acts 15:23 “The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the
