sunago = sun meaning together and ago meaning to bring; to go together or lead together; to bring together or to lead together; a coming together

suneimi = to go or come together

sunagoge = synagogue, a place where people assemble

sunerchomai = to come together

episunago = to gather together

epathrois = to throng or gather upon

sunalizomai = sun meaning together and erchomai meaning to come; to come together, to assemble, coming together

sunalizo = sun meaning with and halizo meaning to crowd; to gather together, to assemble, with the suggestion of a crowded meeting; to throng together

ginomai = to become, to be

episunagoge = gathering together

paneguris = a whole assembly

 

1.      Matthew 13:2 “And great multitudes were gathered together (sunago) unto him, so that the went into a ship, and sat’ and the whole multitude stood on the shore.”

2.      Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three are gathered together (sunago) in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

3.      Matthew 23:37; Luke 13:34 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered (episunago) thy children together, even as a hen gathereth (episunago) her chickens under her wings and ye would not!”

4.      Matthew 24:31 “And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together (episunago) his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”

5.      Mark 1:33 “And all the city was gathered (episunago)at the door.”

6.      Mark 2:2 “And straightway many were gathered together (sunago), insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.”

30.  I Corinthians 11:17-18, 20 “Now in this that I declared unto you I praise you not, that ye come together (sunerchomai) not for the better, but for the worse.  When ye come together (sunerchomai) therefore into one place, this is not (possible) to eat the Lord’s supper.”

33.  James 2:1-2 “My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.  For it there come unto your assembly (sunagogue)a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile  raiment; And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool: Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of  evil thought?”
