NAKEDNESS

1. Genesis 2:25 “And they were both naked, the man (Adam) and his wife (Eve), and were not ashamed.”

2. Genesis 3:7-11 “And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons…I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself…Who told thee that thou was naked?”

3. Genesis 9:20-25 “And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without. And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father’s nakedness. And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son and done unto him. And he said, Cursed be Canaan (son of Ham); a servant of servants shall he be unto this brethren.”

a. Leviticus 18:7-8 “You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father, which is the nakedness of your mother; she is your mother, you shall not uncover her nakedness. You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's wife; it is the nakedness of your father.”

b. Leviticus 20:11 “And the man that lieth with his father's wife(incest) hath uncovered his father's nakedness; both of them shall surely be put to death: their blood shall be upon them.”

4. Exodus 20:26 “Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that they nakedness be not discovered thereon.”

5. Exodus 32:25 “Moses saw that the people were naked; for Aaron and made them naked unto their shame among their enemies…whose on the Lord’s side, let him come unto me…”

6. Leviticus 18:6-30 “None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the Lord…father, mother, father’s wife, sister, son’s daughter, daughter’s daughter, father’s sister, mother’s sister, father’s brother, daughter-in-law, brother’s wife, thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination…neither shall thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith (Also Leviticus 21:19 and Deuteronomy 27:21)…For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among the people. Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the Lord your God.”

7. Job 1:21 “Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither;”

8. Ecclesiastes 5:15 “As he came forth of his mother’s womb, naked shall he return to go as he came…”

9. Habakkuk 2:15-16 “Woe unto him that giveth his neighbor drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness. Thou art filled with shame for glory: drink thou also, and let thy foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the Lord’s right hand shall be turned unto thee, and shameful spewing shall be on they glory.”

10. Revelation 3:18 “I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eye save with eye salve, that thou mayest see.”

11. Revelation 15:16 “I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth this garments, lest he walk naked, and the see his shame.”
