APOSTOLIC PRINCIPLES LEARNED
Apostle Funds:
-
Paul ministered
to the needs of his traveling companions.
-
Acts
20:34 “Ye yourselves know, that these hands have
ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with
me.”
-
Practical
application: An apostle servant can be a tent
maker and use these funds and other funds made available to
him to help defray the expenses of his traveling companions.
-
Those workers
who labor in the word and teaching should receive double honor.
-
I Timothy
5:17-18 “Let the elders that rule well be counted
worthy of double honor, especially they
who labor in the word and doctrine. For
the scripture saith, Thou shalt not, muzzle the ox that
treadest out the corn. And, The laborer is worthy of his
reward.”
-
Practical
application: When one apostle servant teaches all
the sessions then that worker could receive all the funds as
needed.
-
Practical
application: Consider equally dividing funds as all
workers minister proportionately in the word and teaching, i.e.,
if three workers teach two sessions each then funds could be
equally divided among them.
-
Practical
application: Give deference to the needs of each
apostle worker at the time of the dividing of funds.
-
Practical
application: Maintain a common bag/purse of limited
funds for the needs of traveling apostle servant’s, i.e. food,
lodging, gasoline, etc.
