SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP

 

1.     SPIRIT BIRTH

A.     John 1:12-13 “But as many as received Him to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

B.     John 3:3-8 “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.  Marvel not that I said unto thee, ye must be born again.”

C.     I John 2:29 “If ye know that He is righteous, ye know that everyone that doeth righteousness is born of Him.”

D.     I John 3:9 “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin: for His seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.”

E.     I John 4:7 “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.”

F.      I John 5:1 “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth Him that begat loveth Him also that is begotten of Him.”

G.    I John 5:4 “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”

2.     SPIRIT SEALED

A.     John 6:27 “Labor not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.”

B.     II Corinthians 1:22Who hath also sealed us, and give theearnest of the Spirit in our hearts.”

C.  Ephesians 1:13-14 “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory.”

 

3.       SPIRIT SANCTIFIED

A.     Romans 15:16 “That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.”

B.     II Thessalonians 2:13 “God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through the sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:”

C.     I Peter 1:2 “Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ” Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.”

 

4.     SPIRIT BAPTISM

A.     Matthew 3:16-17 “And Jesus, when He was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens opened unto Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon Him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased”

B.     Matthew 3:11 “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but He that cometh after me is mightier that I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire.”

C.     Mark 1:8 “I indeed have baptized you with water: but He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.”

D.     Mark 1:9-10 “And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.  And straightway coming up out of the water He saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon Him: and there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well  pleased.”

E.     Luke 3:16 “John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier that I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:”

F.      Luke 3:22 “And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.”

G.    John 1:32-33 “And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon Him.  And I knew him not: but He that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, the same is He which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.”

H.    Acts 1:4-5 “And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith He, ye have heard of me.  For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.”

I.        Acts 2:2-4 “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.  And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.  And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

J.       Acts 2: 16-18 “But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:”

K.    I Corinthians 12:13For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.”

L.     Galatians 3:27 “For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”

 

5.     SPIRIT FILLING

A.     Luke 1:15-17 “For he (John) shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he (John) shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb.”

B.     Luke 1:41 “And it came to pass that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of May, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:”

C.     Luke 1:67 “And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied:”

D.     Luke 4:1 “And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost, returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness.”

E.     Acts 2:4 “And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

F.      Acts 4:8 “Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel.”

G.    Acts 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.”

H.    Acts 6:3 “Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost, and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.”

I.        Acts 6:5 “And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost.”

J.       Acts 7:54 “But he (Stephen), being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God.”

K.    Acts 11:24 “For he (Barnabas) was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith:”

L.     Acts 9:17 “And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.”

M.   Acts 13:9 “Then Saul, who also is called Paul, filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him.”

N.     Acts 13:52 “And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Ghost.”

O.    Romans 15:13 “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye many abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”

P.      Ephesians 5:18 “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;”

 

6.     SPIRIT POWER –

A.     Matthew 10:1(Mark 3:15; 6:7; Luke 10:19)“And when He had called unto Him His twelve disciples, He gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness of all manner of disease.”

B.     Matthew 28:18All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.  Go ye therefore…”

C.     Luke 4:14 “And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee:”

D.     Luke 5:17 “The power of the Lord was present to heal them.”

E.     Luke 24:49 “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.”

F.      Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

G.    Acts 3:12, 16 “Why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?  In His Name through faith in His name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”

H.    Acts 4:7-10By what power or by what name, have ye done this?  Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them…that by the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by Him doth this man stand here before you whole.

I.        Acts 4:33 “And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.”

J.       Acts 6:8 “And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.”

K.    Acts 10:38God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him.”

L.     Romans 15:13 “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”

M.   Romans 15:19 “Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.”

N.     I Corinthians 2:4-5 “And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and power; That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

O.     I Corinthians 4:20 “For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.”

P.      II Corinthians 4:7 “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us.”

Q.    II Corinthians 12:9 “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.  Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

R.     II Corinthians 13:4 “For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God.  For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you.”

S.      Ephesians 3:16 “That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man;”

T.     Ephesians 6:10 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.”

U.     Colossians 1:10-11 “That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;” Ephesians 1:19 “And what is the exceeding greatness of His power to usward who believe, according to the working of His might power.”

V.     Ephesians 3:7 “Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of His power.”

W.  Ephesians 3:20 “Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”

X.     Philippines 3:10That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death;”

Y.     I Thessalonians 1:5 “For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.”

Z.     II Thessalonians 1:11 “Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:”

AA.                    II Timothy 1:7-8 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.  Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;”

BB.                     II Timothy 3:5 “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

CC.                    II Peter 1:3 “According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue:”

 

7.     SPIRIT LIFE

A.     Galatians 5:25 “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”

B.     I Peter 4:6 “But live according to God in the spirit.”

 

8.     SPIRIT LED

A.     Luke 4:1 “And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness.”

B.     Romans 8:14 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”

C.     Galatians 5:18 “But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.”

 

9.     SPIRIT DRIVEN

A.  Mark 1:12 “And immediately the Spirit driveth Him into the wilderness.”

 

10.                          SPIRIT WALK

A.     Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

B.     Romans 8:4 “That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

C.     Galatians 5:16 “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”

D.     Galatians 5:25 “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”

E.     II Corinthians 6:16 “And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols?  For ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”

F.      Galatians 5:25 “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

G.    Colossians 2:6 “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him:”

11.                            SPIRIT ANOINTED

A.     Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of the sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”

B.     Acts 10:38God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy

      Ghost and with power:”

C.     II Corinthians 1:21 “Now He which stablisheth us with you, in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God

D.     D.  I John 2:20But ye have an unction (anointing) from the Holy One, and ye know all things.”

E.     I John 2:27 “But the anointing which ye have received of     Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach     you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things,     and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you     shall abide in Him.”

 

12.                          SPIRIT COMMUNION (FELLOWSHIP)

A.     II Corinthians 13:14 “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all.  Amen.”

B.     Philippians 2:1 “If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, fulfill ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.”

 

13.                          SPIRIT FRUIT

A.     Matthew 7:16-20 “Ye shall know them by their fruits…  Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

B.     Matthew 12:33 “For the tree is known by his fruit.”

C.     Matthew 13:1-23 “Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower…But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

D.     Luke 6:44 “For every tree is known by his own fruit.  For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.”

E.     John 12:24 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.”

F.      John 15:1-16 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.  Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit…Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain.”

G.    Romans 6:22 “But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.”

H.    Romans 7:4 “Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to Him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.”

I.        Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”

J.       Ephesians 5:9 “For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;”

K.    Philippians 1:11Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.”

L.     Hebrews 12:11 “Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous; nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.”

M.   Hebrews 13:15 “By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name.”

N.     James 3:17-18 “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.  And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.”

 

14.                          SPIRIT RENEWAL

A.     Romans 12:1-2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of god, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

B.     Ephesians 4:23 “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;”

 

15.                          SPIRIT REVELATION

A.     Matthew 16:17 “And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

B.     Ephesians 1:17-23 “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power…”

C.     Ephesians 3:3-5 “How that by revelation He made known unto me the mystery; as I wrote afore in few words, whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ, which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit.”

 

16.                          SPIRIT UNITY

A.     Ephesians 4:3 “Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

B.     Hebrews 2:11 “For both He that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause He is not ashamed to call them brethren.”
