Acts 2:46; 5:12, 42: “They continuing daily with one accord in the temple/Solomon’s Porch(public places) and from house to house(private places).”

 

1.   Apostles doctrine/Word gatherings

a.   Acts 2:42 “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine.”

b.   Acts 5:28 “Ye(apostles)have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine.”

c.    Acts 6:4 “We(apostles)will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”

d.   Acts 13:12Doctrine of the Lord.”

e.    II John 9Doctrine of Christ.”

 

2.  Apostles & elders’ gatherings

a.   Acts 15:2,4,6,22-23Paul and Barnabas went up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.  They were received of the church and of the apostles and elders.  And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.  And it pleased the apostles and elders and the whole church.  The apostles and elders and brethren send greetings.””

b.   Acts 20:17 “Paul sent to Ephesus and called the elders of the church.”

c.    Acts 21:18Paul went in with us unto James; and all the elders were present.”

 

3.  Baptizing gatherings

a.   Acts 2:41 “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized.”

b.   Acts 8:12 “When they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.”

c.    Acts 8:38 “They went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.”

d.   Acts 9:18 “Paul and arose and was baptized.”

e.    Acts 10:47-48 “Can we forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?  And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord.”

g.   Acts 16:38 “The Philippian jailer was baptized, he and all his, straightway.”

4.  Believers’ gatherings

a.   Matthew 28:16-20 “Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.  And when they saw Jesus, they worshipped him.  Jesus said, “Go into all the world…”

b.   Luke 24:13-35 “Two disciples on the road to Emmaus…Jesus went in to tarry with them.  And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them…”

c.    John 20:19, 26 “Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, the disciples were assembled.  And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus…”

d.   John 21:1-25 “Jesus said unto the disciples, Come and dine.”

e.    Acts 1:4 “And being assembled together with them(apostles), commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait, for the promise of the Father, which saith he, ye have heard of me.”

f.     Acts 4:23-31 “They went to their own company.  And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together;”

g.   Acts 11:26 “A whole year Barnabas and Saul assembled themselves with the church and taught much people.  And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.”

k.   Acts 18:23,26 “And Paul went over all the country of Galatia and Phyrgia in order, strengthening all the disciples.  Aquila and Priscila took Apollos unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.”

l.      Acts 20:7,11 “Upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them…and had broken bread.”

m. Acts 21:4-6-10 “And finding disciples at Tyre, we tarried there seven days.  They all brought us on our way, with wives and children, till we were out of the city: and we kneeled down on the shore, and prayed.  Paul came to Ptolemais and saluted the brethren, and abode with them one day.  The next day we that were of Paul’s company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him and tarried there many days.”

n.   Acts 28:14 “We found brethren at Puteoli and were desired to tarry with them seven days.

o.   I Corinthians 15:6 “Jesus was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.”

p.   Hebrews 10:25 “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

6.  Breaking bread gatherings

a.   Luke 24:30 “And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.”

7.  Church Problems Gatherings

a.   Acts 1:13-26 “And the lot fell upon Matthias.”

b.   Acts 6:1-7 “Look ye out among you seven men.”

c.    Acts 11:1-18 “They of the circumcision contended with Peter.”

d.   Acts 12:1-18 “Peter was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.”

e.    Acts 13:1-4 “As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.”

8.  Equipping gatherings

a.   Matthew 10:1-42 “These twelve Jesus sent forth…”

b.   Mark 6:7-13 “And Jesus called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two.”

c.    Luke 9:1-10 “Then Jesus called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases.  And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.”

d.   Ephesians 4:11-16 “And Jesus gave some, apostles; and some prophets; and some evangelists; and some pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry for the edifying of the Body of Christ…”

 

9.  Fasting gatherings

a.   Acts 13:2-3 “As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted.  And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.”

b.   Acts 14:23 “And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord on whom they believed.”

 

10.  Fellowship gatherings

a.   Acts 2:42 “And they continued steadfastly in fellowship (koinonia = sharing in common; communion).”

b.   I John 1:3 “Ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.”

c.    I John 1:7 “We have fellowship one with another.”

 

11.  Giving gatherings

a.   Acts 2:45 “And they sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.”

b.   Acts 4:37 “Barnabas having land, sold it, and brought the money and laid it at the apostles’ feet.”

 

12.  Healing gatherings

     a,  Acts 3:6 “And in His name through faith in His name hath made this
         man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him
         hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”

b.   Acts 5:15-16 “Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the      shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.”

c.  Acts 8:7 “Philip: For unclean spirits came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame were healed.

d.  Acts 9:34 “And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed.  And he arose immediately.”

e.  Acts 14:8-10 “And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never    had walked that had faith to be healed.  Paul said with a loud voice, Stand upright on they feet.  And he leaped and walked.”

f.  Acts 19:12 “So that from Paul’s body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and theevil spirits went out of them.”

g.   Acts 28:8-9 “And it came to pass that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul, entered in, and      prayed and laid his hands on him, and healed him.  So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came and were healed:”

 

13.  Laying on of hands gatherings

a.   Acts 6:6 “They set the seven before the apostles; and when they had  prayed, they laid their hands on them.”

b.   Acts 8:15-18 “Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.”

c.    Acts 13:3 “And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.”

d.   Acts 14:23 “And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the     Lord, on whom they believed.”

e.    Acts 19:6 “And when Paul laid hands on them, the Holy Ghost came on them: and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.”

f.     Acts 28:8 “Paul entered in and prayed, and laid his hands on Publius’ father and healed him.”

 

14.  Market place gatherings

a.   Acts 17:17 “Paul therefore disputed in the market daily with them that met with him.”

 

15.  Praise gatherings

a.   Acts 2:47 “And they, continuing daily praising God.”

b.   Acts 3:8-9 “Walking and leaping and praising God.”

c.    Acts 16:25 “Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God.”

d.   Hebrews 2:12 “In the midst of the church will I sing praise unto Thee.”

e.    Hebrews 13:15 “Let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”

f.     I Peter 2:9Shew forth the praise of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”

 

16.  Prayer gatherings

a.   Acts 1:14 “These all continued with one accord in prayer and    supplication.”

b.   Acts 4:23-24 “And being let go, they went to their own company and   reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.  And they lifted up their voice to God with one accord…”

c.  Acts 6:4,6 “We will give ourselves continually to prayer.  Whom they
    set the seven before the apostles; and when they had prayed, they laid
    their hands on them.””

d.  Acts 12:5,12 “Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was
     made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.  Peter came to
     the house of Mary the mother of John Mark; where many were
     gathered together praying.”

a.   Matthew 4:23b “And Jesus went about all Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom…”

b.   Matthew 10:7 “As ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

c.    Acts 2:14 “But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them…”

d.   Acts 4:2 “They preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.”

e.    Acts 5:42 “And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to preach Jesus Christ.”

20.   Street gatherings

a.   Mark 6:56 “And whithersoever Jesus entered, into villages or cities or country, they laid the sick in the streets.”

b.   Luke 10:9-16 “Unto whatever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say…”

c.    Luke 13:26 “Jesus hast taught in our streets.”

d.   Luke 14:21-24 “Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.  Go out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”

c.    Acts 10:42 “And Jesus commanded us to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of the quick and dead.”

d.   Acts 18:5 “Paul testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ.”

e.    Acts 20:21 “Paul taught publicly and from house to house, testifying both to the Jews and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.”

c.    Acts 26:22 “I Paul continue to this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: That Christ should suffer, and he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the gentiles.”

d.   Acts 28;23,30-31 “Paul expounded and testified the kingdom of  God…”

 

24.  Wonders, signs and miracles gatherings

a.   Acts 2:43 “Many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.”

b.   Acts 6:8 “And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.”

c.    Acts 8:6,13 “And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.  Miracles and signs which were done by Philip.”
