Deuteronomy 4:26 “I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it;  ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed (shamad = to be cut off, laid waste, destroyed).”

Deuteronomy 8:19 “And it shall  be, if thou do at all forget the Lord thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.”

Joshua 23:13 “Know for a certainty that the Lord your God will no more drive out any of these nations from before you; but they shall be snares and traps unto you, and scourges in your sides, and thorns in your eyes, until ye perish from all this good land which the Lord your God hath given you.”
