ETERNAL RESULTS
OF OUR EARTHLY CHOICE

Job chose to walk with God and he lost everything he had including his possessions, family, friends. In spite of the loss, Job exclaimed, “I know that my Redeemer liveth”! (BUT GOD…restored everything to him twofold!)

 

Abraham chose to walk with God and the Lord required him to be willing to the sacrifice of his only son and he was able to exclaim, “God will provide a lamb”! (BUT GOD… blessed him and he became the “father of many nations”!

 

Moses chose to walk with God and the Lord put him on the backside of nowhere for 40 years and was able to exclaim, “I am not able, but God is”! (BUT GOD…used him to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt!)

 

Joseph chose to walk with God and he was thrown in a well and into prison and was able to exclaim, “The Lord is with me!” (BUT GOD…used him to save his family from famine in Egypt!)

 

Three Hebrew Children chose to walk with God and they were thrown into the fiery furnace and were able to exclaim, “Our God is able to deliver us! (BUT GOD…appeared to them as the “Son of God” and delivered them!)

 

Daniel chose to walk with God and he was thrown into the lion’s den and was able to exclaim, “My God is able to deliver me from the lions!” (BUT GOD…shut the mouths of the lions and delivered him and he became second in command to the King!)

 

John the baptizer chose to walk with God and was beheaded and was able to exclaim, “He must increase and I must decrease!” (BUT GOD…declared that there was no one greater who ever lived than John!)

 

Twelve Apostles chose to walk with God, and were able to exclaim, “He that looseth his life for Christ’s sake shall save it!“  They were all executed as martyrs except John who spent his last days in exile alone on the deserted Island of Patmos (BUT GOD…gave them all a martyr’s crown!)

 

Stephen chose to walk with God and he was stoned to death, and was able to exclaim, “Lord forgive them for they know not what they do”! (BUT GOD…allowed him to see Jesus standing at the right hand of the Father before he died as a martyr!)

 

Paul chose to walk with God and was martyred and was able to exclaim, “For me to live is Christ and to die is to gain Christ” (BUT GOD…used him to take the gospel of the Kingdom to the ends of the earth!)

 

The testimony is clear, everyone, not just Bible characters, but all believers down through history who have chosen to follow Jesus as the Lord of their lives have had similar experiences and in God’s timing and eternal purposes they brought honor and glory to HIM!
