Psalm 25:15 “Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net (an example of present day temptation: “Internet”).”

Psalm 101:3 “I will set no wicked things before mine eyes:”

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

Matthew 6:12-13 (Larger Passage Matthew 6:9-13) “Forgive us our debts (sins, transgressions) as we forgive our debtors (those who sin/transgress against us).  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”

Matthew 6:33 “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Romans 6:12-13 (Larger Passage 6:1-23) “Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.  Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, Yield your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.”

Romans 8:1, 4 (Larger Passage 8:1-39) “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit…Walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

Romans 8:26-27 “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.  And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.” (See additional Teaching on the subject of “Praying in the Spirit and with Understanding” and other passages i.e. Luke 10:21; John 11:33, 38; I Corinthians 14:4, 14-15; Ephesians 6:18; Jude 20)

Romans 12:1-2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service (latreia = worship).  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Romans 13:14 “But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.”

I Corinthians 6:18-20 “Flee fornication.  Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.  What?  Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, who you have of God, and ye are not your own?  For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s”

II Corinthians 10:3-5 “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”

Galatians 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

Galatians 5:16 “This I say then, walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”

Ephesians 4:22-24 “That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”

Ephesians 6:11-18 “Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all , taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;”

Philippians 4:6- “Be careful (anxious/worried) for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made know unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep (stand guard) your hearts (emotions) and minds (thoughts) through Christ Jesus.  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report; if there any virtue, any praise, think on these things.  Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall (continue to) be with you (to stand guard over your thoughts and emotions).”

Colossians 3:5-9 “Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: for which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.  But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.  Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;”

Colossians 3:10-17 “And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all; Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.  And above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfectness.  And let the peace of god rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.  And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”

I Timothy 6:11-12 (Larger Passage 6:1-21) “But thou, O man of God, flee these things (pride, strife, envy, railings, evil surmisings, perverse disputing’s, hurtful lusts, love of money); and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.  Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession, before many witnesses.”

II Timothy 2:19-22 (Larger Passage 2:19-26) “Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his.  And, Let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.  But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor.  If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.  Flee youthful lusts: but follow after righteousness, faith, love, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.”

James 4:7 “Submit your selves therefore to God.  Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Revelation 12:11 (Larger Passage Revelation 12:8-12) “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”
