APOSTLES’ EXAMPLE OF MINISTRY IN HOMES

1.     Mark 16:14 “Afterward Jesus appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat…”

2.     Luke 24:13-32 “Two on road to Emmaus…and Jesus sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.  And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.  And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way and while he opened to us the scriptures?  They told how he was known of them in breaking of bread.”

3.     John 20:19, 26 “Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst…After eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst…”

4.     Acts 1:13 “And when they were come in they went up into an upper room…”

5.     Acts 2:1-2 “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place…it filled all the house where they were sitting.”(v15 “120”)

6.     Acts 9:11 “In the house of Judas, one called Saul of Tarsus:..”

8.     Acts 10:2 “Cornelius, a devout man, one that fear God with all his house

10. Acts 10:22 “Cornelius to send for Peter into his house, and to hear words of thee.  And he called together his kinsmen and near friends and Peter found many that were come together.”

12. Acts 12:12 “Peter came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying.”

13. Acts 16:15 “And when Lydia was baptized, and her household, she besought us saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there.  And she constrained us.”

14. Acts 16:34 “And when the jailer had brought Paul and Silas into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house(hold).”

15.  Acts 17:5 “They assaulted the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people.  They drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying.  These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;…”

16.  Acts 18:1-3 ”Paul departed from Athens and came to Corinth; and found a certain Jew  named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla;(because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them.  And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.” Acts 18:7 “And Paul departed thence, and enter into a certain man’s house, named  Justus, one that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue.”

17. Acts 18:8 “And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized.”

18.  Acts 20:7-12 “And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them in the upper chamber where they were gathered   together.  Paul had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.”

21.  Romans 16:15 “Salute Philologus, and Julia, Nereus, and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints which are with them.

22.  I Corinthians 16:19 “The churches of Asia salute you.  Aquila and Pricilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.”

23.  Colossians 4:15 “Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house.”

24.  II Timothy 1:16 “The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain: But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me.”

25.  II Timothy 3:1-17 “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come…Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.  For all of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

26.  Titus 1:11 “The mouths of the circumcision must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre’s sake.
