    HOW BELIEVERS IDENTIFIED WITH A LOCAL ASSEMBLY

    1. Matthew 16:18 “Upon this rock I will build my church.”
    2. Acts 2:47 “The Lord added to the church daily such as were being saved.”
    3. Acts :23-24 “Peter and John went to their own company.”
    4. Acts 5:13-14 “No man dared join them but God added…”
    5. Acts 20:7 “Upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came  together to break bread…”
    6. I Corinthians 12:13 “For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one Body.”
    7. I Corinthians 16:12 “Upon the first day of the week let everyone lay by him in store as God has prospered…”
    8. Hebrews 10 25 “Forsake not the assembling of yourselves together as the manner of some is.”

    NOTE:

    • When a person became a Christian he was added to the church of that town/city by the Lord.
    • When a Christian moved to or who resided in a particular town/city, he was identified with that local church.
    • Early believers did not join the local church but were added according to Acts 5:13-14.
