MINISTRY OF WOMEN IN THE LIFE OF JESUS AND APOSTLES

Mary Magdalene- Matt.27:55-56,61“And many women were there beholding afar off which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him: Among   which was Mary Magdalene…And there was Mary Magdalene…sitting over against the sepulchre.”

Mk.15:40-41,47“There were women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome; who also, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and ministered unto him; and many other women which came up with him unto Jerusalem.  And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses beheld where he was laid.’

Lk. 8:2”And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils.” Lk.24:10 “It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles.”

John 19:25 “Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Celophas, and Mary Magdalene.”

John 20:1,ll,16,18 “The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre.  But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: Mary Magdalene came and told his disciples that she had seen the Lord.”

Mary Mother of Jesus- John 19:25 “There stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas and Mary Magdalene.”

Acts 1:14  “These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.”

John 2:1-11 “There was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there…”

Joanna- Luke 8:3  “And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.”

Luke 24:10 “It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with the, which told these things to the apostles.

Susanna- Luke 8:3  “And Joanna the wife of Chusz Herod’s steward and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto his of their substance.”

Salome- Mark 15:40-41 “There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome; (Who also, when he was in Galillee, followed him, and ministered unto him;) and may other women which came up with him unto Jerusalem.”

Mary & Martha- Luke 10:38-42 “A certain woman named Martha received him into her house.  And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word.  But Martha was cumbered about much serving…”

John 11:1,,2,19,20,28.31,32,45  “Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.  (It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair whose brother Lazarus was sick.)

John 12:1-3,7 “Jesus came to Bethany…There they made him a supper; and Martha served:…Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.”

Mary wife of Cleophas- John 19:25 “Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.”

Mary of Rome- Romans 16:6 “Greet Mary, who bestowed much labour on us.”

Phebe- Romans 16:1 “I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cechrea: That ye receive her in the Lord as becometh saints, and that ye assist her her whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.”

Euodias & Syntyche- Phil.4:2 “I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.  Help those women which laboured with me in the gospel…”

Priscilla- Acts 18:2,18,26  “Paul came to Corinth and found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Pricilla; because that Cladius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome: And Apollos began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.”

Romans 16:3 “Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in  Christ Jesus: Who have for my life laid down their own neckes: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all churches of the Gentiles.”

I Cor.16:19 “The churches of Asia salute you.  Aquila and Prisilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.”

Dorcas/Tabitha- Acts 9:36-39 ‘now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did…”

Mary mother of John Mark-Acts 12:12 “And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark:where many were gathered together praying.”

Junia/Junias(Can be: male or female)-Romans 16:7 “Salute Adnronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellowprisoners, who are of note among(or can be:to) the apostles, who also were  in Christ before me.”

Tryphena, Tryphosa & Persis- Romans 16:12 “Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord.  Salute the beloved Persis, which laboureth much in the Lord.”

Julia- Romans 16:15 “Salue Phillologusl, and Julia, Nereus, and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints with them.”

Lydia-Acts 16:14,40  “And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul. And when she was baptized, and her hosehold, she besought us, saying, if ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there.  And she constrained us.  And they went out of the prison, and entered into the house of Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed.”

Peter’s wife-I Cor.9:5 “Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas(Peter)?”

Apostles’ sisters & wives- I Cor.9:5 “Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas(Peter)?”

Sisters & wives of Jesus’ brethren- I Cor. 9:5 “Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other spostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas(Peter)?”

Peter’s mother-in-law- Matt.8:14-15 “And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother laid, and sick of a fever.  And he touched her hand, and the fever left her; and whe arose, and minstered unto them.”

Rufus’ mother- Rom. 16:13Rufus’ mother who has been like a mother to me.”
