Selah.  There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.  God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.  The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.”

and from the river unto the ends of the earth…Yea, all kings shall fall

down before him: all nations shall serve him…And there shall be an

handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit

thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like

grass of the earth.  His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be

continued as long as the sun:  and men shall be bless in him: all nations

shall call him blessed.  Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, who

only doeth wondrous things.  And blessed be his glorious name for ever:

Jerusalem.  And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of

the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall

be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.  And many

people shall go and say, come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the

Lord, to the house of the god of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and

we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word

of the Lord from Jerusalem.  And he shall judge among the nations, and

shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares,

and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against

nation, neither shall they learn war any more.  O house of Jacob, come ye,

and let us walk in the light of the Lord…For the day of the Lord of hosts

shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is

lifted up; and he shall be brought low…the loftiness of man shall be bowed

down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the Lord alone

shall be exalted in that day.  And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and

into the caves of the earth, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his

majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth…For fear of the Lord,

and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.”

earth do shake.  The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean

dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.  The earth shall reel to and fro like

a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof

shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again…Then the moon

shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the Lord of hosts shall reign

in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.”

20.   Jeremiah 23:9-11 “Mine heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my

bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine hath

overcome, because of the Lord, and because of the words of his holiness.  For

the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the

pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and

their force is not right.  For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my

house have I found their wickedness, saith the Lord.”

21.   Ezekiel 37:1-14 “The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit

of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of

bones…Can these bones live?…Prophesy to these bones, and say unto them, O

ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.  Thus saith the Lord God unto these

bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live…So I

prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and

behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.  And when I

beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered

them above: but there was not breath in them.  Then said he unto me,

Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, thus saith

the Lord God.  Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these

slain, that they may live.  So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath

came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceeding great

army.  Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of

Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut

off for our parts.  Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord

God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up

out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.  And ye shall know

that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and

    am the Lord.”

23.   Joel 3:15-21 “The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw

their shining.  The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from

Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the

hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.  So shall ye know

that I am the Lord your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall

Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her anymore.  And

it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine,

and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with

waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the Lord, and shall water

the valley of Shittim…But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from

generation to generation.  For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed:

for the Lord dwelleth in Zion.”

24.   Amos 9:1 “I saw the Lord standing upon the alter: and he said, Smite the lintel of the

door, that the posts may shake…I will sift the house of Israel among all nations,

like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.  In

that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the

breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of

old…Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the

reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall

drop sweet wine, and all the hills melt.  And I will bring again the captivity of

my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and

gardens, and eat the fruit of them.  I will plant them upon their land, and they

Lord thy God.”

Lord of hosts…I will shake the heavens and the earth.”

shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the son of man in heaven: and

then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man

coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.  And he shall send his

angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect

from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”

28.   Luke 6:46-49 “And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will

shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and

digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the

stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was

founded upon a rock.  But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that

digged ahout  a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the

stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that

   house was great.”

29.   Luke 21:28 “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up

30.   II Thessalonians 2:1-17 “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord

Jesus Christ, and by our gathering unto him.  That ye be no soon shaken in

mind, or be troubled, nether by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us,

as that the day of Christ is at hand.  Let no man deceive you by any means:

for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that

man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth

himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God

sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is god.  Remember ye

not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?  And now ye know

what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.  For the mystery of

iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken

out of the way.  And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall

consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of

his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all

power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of

unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the

truth, that they might be saved.  And for this cause God shall send them

strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned

who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.  But we are

bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord,

because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through

sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Whereunto he called you

by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been

taught, whether by word, or our epistle.  Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself,

and God, even our Father, which loved us, and hath given us everlasting

consolation and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts, and stablish

you in every good word and work.”

31.   Hebrews 12:25-29 “See that ye refuse not him that speaketh.  For if they escaped not

who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not e escape, if we

turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: Whose voice then shook the

earth: But now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the

earth only, but also heaven.  And this word, Yet once more signifieth the

removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that

those things which cannot be shaken may remain.  Wherefore we receiving a

kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve

God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming

fire.”

32.   Revelation 6:12-17 “And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was

a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the

moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a

fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.  And

the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every

mountain and island were moved out of their places.  And the kings of the

earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the

mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves I the

dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks,

Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and

from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who

shall be able to stand?”

and an earthquake.”

34.   Revelation 11:13, 19 “And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth

part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand:

and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.  And

the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the

ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings,

and an earthquake, and great hail.”

34.   Revelation 16:18-20“And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there

was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upoon the earth, so

mighty an earthquake, and so great.  And the great city was divided into

three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in

remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the

fierceness of his wrath.  And every island fled away, and the mountains were

not found.”
